So far 22 of the girls have been engaged, some as interns and volunteers while some as fully salaried staff. The program has involved the rest in the different training opportunities at the Girls Empowerment Centre (GEC). Also the program has developed a comprehensive plan on how to engage them during fundraising effectively in a way that will empower them and give them an opportunity to support their colleagues who are still in school. Currently the girls are donating monthly towards supporting their peers who are still in school.
Nyanza Initiative for Girls' Education & Empowerment is an organisation that envisions a society and a future of self-determining and self-reliant girls and women.
